27 centuries of wine History… Archaeological excavations revealed shards of Etruscan amphorae from the 7th century B.C, which certifies that since the Antiquity, wine is produced at Calvisson.
The AOC Languedoc Sommières region
Implanted at the North-eastern end of AOC Languedoc, the region “Sommières” is the only area of that name entirely located in the Gard. This designation essentially relates to red wines and corresponds to a selection of qualified plots.
The meeting with winegrowers is the best way to appreciate wines from here, to share their daily work and their passion. Visit of their estate, demonstrations, tastings, courses… To each his own speciality.
