Syndicat de l'AOC Languedoc Sommières
The Syndicat de l'AOC Languedoc Sommières brings together 24 winegrowers from the Gard located within a 20 km radius of Sommières.
These producers make AOC Languedoc Sommières red wines, AOC Languedoc white wines, as well as IGP Cévennes and Pays d'Oc. The Sommières terroir, the only AOC Languedoc denomination in the Gard, stretches for twenty kilometres west of Nîmes, against the foothills of the Cévennes and subject to the influence of the Mistral wind.
To help visitors discover their terroir, these winegrowers organise annual summer events such as the Estivales de Sommières and the Jeudis de Salinelles in July and August, as well as the Vinum wine fair, which will take place at the end of November from 2025 onwards.
