WORTH KNOWING:
Numerous sites have been occupied on the Malbousquet ridges since the Bronze Age. On one of the hills overlooking the village, the Jouffe site, excavations have revealed the location of a protohistoric oppidum, which was later reoccupied during the Roman period. In the 11th century, a priory was built here, of which all that remains are the ruins of the church, abandoned at the time of the Wars of Religion. On the hill below are the ruins of the Castellas, a castle built in the 11th century.
