La Circulade hike
Take a stroll through the village and its Circulade, an architectural structure dating back to the Middle Ages.
From Souvignargues, follow signs for Chapelle Saint André then Le Grès. At this crossroads, follow signs for Le Temple, then Barbière. Then follow signs for La Circulade and Place du Cèdre, then back to Souvignargues via the
direction Mairie.

GOOD TO KNOW :
The circulade is an architectural layout that dates back to around the turn of the century. Streets are laid out in concentric circles around the château and church. Calades and traverses intersect them and lead to the rampart gates. This layout served a defensive function, as the houses on the outskirts of the town were the most exposed to potential invaders.
