Mas Costeplane

Discover an exceptional vineyard, isolated in the heart of the garrigue between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes. At Mas de Costeplane, certified organic and Demeter, the old vines, like the Carignan planted in 1958, flourish on a unique clay-limestone terroir.
Here, each plot is vinified separately to offer a rich range of wines: AOC Languedoc red, white and rosé and IGP Cévennes single-variety.
In all, seven grape varieties are grown: Vermentino, Grenache blanc and Chardonnay for the whites, Syrah, Grenache noir, Carignan and Merlot for the reds.

Biodynamic farming allows the vines to express themselves perfectly. Ripe and alive, biodynamic grapes are the source of the quality of Mas de Costeplane wines.

Their approach is to live in harmony with the surrounding nature. Whenever possible, they seek symbiosis. In spring, for example, the sheep come to mow the grass in the vineyards, and the woodland is tended by Aneth, Papouille and Hugo, their three donkeys, whose manure fertilises the hedges. In the vineyards, they bring in horse manure from the neighbouring farm and use the flowers from the leeks in the vines as a natural repellent against cochylis (grape berry worm).
