The col du plan des masques - Between river and wood

A shady walk on the hillside, in the heart of the woods, with a rewarding view over the lush green plain of the Courme.

Itinerary :
From Crespian Quartier de Vielle, follow signs for Chemin des Lens then Le Puech.
From this crossroads, follow the pedestrian route to Col du Plan des Masques.
Then join Le Puech and return to Crespian via Chemin des Lens.

SIGHTSEEING
- The 12th-century Romanesque church in the Vielle district.
- The late 17th-century Mas de Reilhe.
- The well-fountain in the Vielle district.
- The view over the Courme valley, which links the Gardon and Vidourle regions.

WORTH KNOWING:
Between the limestone plateaus, the Courme forms a small connecting plain between the Gardon
and the Vidourle. On the hills, you'll find garrigue, vines and olive groves; on the plains, orchards and cereals dominate. Hunters are important users of the garrigue, helping to maintain it. The cohabitation of hunters and other users implies the need to respect a code of good conduct.
