Château de la Clotte-Fontane
Château La Clotte-Fontane is an exceptional family-owned vineyard between Gard and Hérault, overlooking the Vidourle River. It is surrounded by pine trees, oaks and aromatic plants.
Purchased in 1993 by Maryline and Philippe Pagès, this historic vineyard, built on the ruins of a Roman villa, has been lovingly restored to produce AOC Coteaux du Languedoc wines. Authenticity, finesse and expression of the terroir.
The 36 hectares of vines, divided into eight plots with varied soils, allow for rich and nuanced blends that reflect the diversity of the Mediterranean climate and the quality of the grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Chardonnay).
The winemaking process combines respect for tradition with modern techniques, from harvesting (manual or mechanical) to ageing in oak barrels, to reveal elegant and complex vintages, from powerful reds to fruity rosés.
Tastings are available at the cellar by appointment, offering a convivial immersion in the Languedoc way of life and the passion of a family of winemakers.
